The Work Center address matters because free on-site social video visits are available there, not at a face-to-face visiting room. Court filings and hearings are downtown; jail, warrants, bail, and inmate services are handled at the sheriff and jail campus.
Booking, Bail, and Warrants
County jail custody can include recently arrested people, people waiting for court, people ineligible for release, and people who have not posted bail. The roster may show offense information, but the court record should be checked for charging documents, hearings, disposition, and sentence. Mail for Deschutes County Inmates
Mail must come through the U.S. Postal Service. Hand delivery, courier delivery, and postage-due mail are not accepted. The inmate's complete name must appear on the mail, and the sender's return name and address are required. The jail does not allow gummed or adhesive return labels, stickers, non-postal stamps, lipstick marks, perfume, or extra writing and drawing on the outside of the envelope.

Money, Property, and Phone
Inmate commissary funds can be used for hygiene items, writing supplies, snacks, and fees. Deposits should be made by Monday before noon for that week's commissary order. In-person deposits can be made at the main jail lobby counter from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday except holidays.
